JEPC 1 holds the Election as the Akure Diocese council secures a spot.

After a lot of issues on why the Joint Ecclesiastical Provincial Council JEPC 1 election has lingered for some time now after the JEPC conference in March. Even though some of the provinces present began to move for another postponement, the Bendel Provincial Council prevailed over the rest and the election was held.

During the election, the most coveted position which is that of the JEPC 1 President that will be eligible to contest for the National Vice President was won by a brother from the Provincial Council of Lagos which did not go down well with the Provincial Council of Bendel who felt betrayed by the outgoing President, Bro. Segun Olarinde who had promised to zone the presidency to them.

During the election, Bro. Pelumi Fakinlede who is currently the Akure Diocesan Youth Star Coordinator was nominated for the position of the JEPC1 Treasurer and was voted in unanimously.
